Make
I'm going to sway away from the exact meaning of this prompt, instead of talking about making things, I'll be talking about making food.
I've always liked cooking. The simplest way to explain it is that I enjoy creating plates of food that I can share with people. There is so much satisfaction gained when someone tells you that your food is good.
As you guys already know, I moved abroad for studies this year and obviously that meant that I'd have to cook for myself at some point.
At that point, I really wasn't too confident about my cooking. I mean, I've made the occasional fried and scrambled eggs for lunch, instant noodles and even baked some muffins, but that was it. I've never had to go grocery shopping for meat, vegetables fruits etc. I have to admit, in the beginning, I was worried.
The first time I actually bought meat, I didn't actually know what to do with it. hahaha, but then I remembered my dad telling me something about marinating it for the flavours. So what I did was that I just poured in some random marinating sauce that I bought, and left it in the freezer.
Gradually, I realised that hey!, my cooking skillz aren't that bad after all! It was edible, and it didn't taste too bad either. :P So I ventured into dessert making. Among the desserts I've tried before, I have to say that my Pavlova was the best. Everybody loved it! and it wasn't that hard to make either. I mean, it wasn't round because I didn't have a round baking tray, and it collapsed a bit in the middle because I put too much fruits on it, but hey it tasted good. :p

Now I'm back in the safe and comfort of home, so I haven't been making anything edible for a while now. Next year, when I go back, I intend to be more ambitious and try making "harder" stuff.
